Playa de Muro Beach
Playa de Muro is a small resort located to the north of Can Picafort. This beach lies on the northeastern coastline of Majorca. Playa de Muro is actually broken up into two sections that span 3 kilometres. This beach is idea for families with beautiful sand and shallow calm waters.
Playa de Muro beach is without doubt one of the top beaches in Majorca. This beach also enjoys high occupancy. Water sports are available here but there are better conditions found elsewhere. Especially for activities such a surfing and windsurfing.
Running alongside the 3 km of beach is the beautiful promenade. Here there is a good choice of restaurants, hotels and bars. Playa de Muro beach has toilets, sun loungers and excellent disabled access. Parking is available here and there also lifeguards in attendance.
Cala Mondragó Beach & Pine Forest
For the adventurer looking to combine wilderness hiking with a bit of cliff jumping. The double bays of Cala Mondragó are a protected pine forest that extends down to the sea cliffs. This gives the opportunity for cliff jumping and Coasteering. The cliffs and forest protect the bays from the elements making it a great area for families too.
If your beach preference must include plentiful facilities and nearby bars and restaurants. Sticking to the island’s main resorts is best. Playa de Palma is a perfect example where visitors have ample facilities. Here there is also a wide choice of water activities, beach bars and eateries.
Es Trenc Beach, Majorca
Es Trenc is the largest natural beach on the island. This beach deserves a place among the top beaches in Majorca. This vast stretch of white sand beach also has a good width and stunning turquoise sea.
Es Trenc is popular with both tourists and locals. This beach is remote but does have a few facilities. There are also two well stocked beach bars.
Cala Millor & Cala Bona
On the east coast of the island, Cala Millor and it’s little sister Cala Bona are popular. These resorts join each other to form a long picturesque stretch of beach. Here you will find shallow waters perfect for children.
Although water activities are scarce, the facilities here are good. Both areas are linked by a flat promenade. The promenade has many shops, bars and cafes. Most have excellent access and facilities for the disabled..
